I'm a very messy scrapper!

It's disgraceful not? but promise I will clean after I'm finished with my project.....and then I make a new mess!!! :)

I'm Back!!!

  Yes I'm back!

Summer is over and I'm in a scrapmood!
And there will be a change on my blog,  being that it's going to be only in English.
I'm sorry for my Dutch followers but this will make life a lot easier for me (and most of the Dutch can read English very well)


My summer has been a blast!
I've travelled to the beautiful island of Malta and made a bunch of pictures (over a 1000!!!)
so I will be doing something with those.





A new scrapweekend is just around the corner (next weekend) and last weekend I've been spending lots of money on the best hobby-fair in the Netherlands (the "Kreadoe").
so my creative blood is flowing and I just want to scrap and create stuff!

I'm making a Halloweenie kind of album on the moment....but it's not quite finished so you have to do it with a sneek peek!

Summer recess

Ik voel me helemaal schuldig over het niet plaatsen van nieuwe berichten,
maar eigenlijk gebeurd dat elk jaar...
Ik ben geen zomerscrapper!
In de zomer zijn er gewoon zoveel andere dingen die ook zo leuk zijn dat scrappen een beetje op de achtergrond zakt...
Niet voor eeuwig dus en als het straks weer tegen de herfst loopt ga ik weer meer scrappen...
Dus lieve lezers ik kom terug...maar nu lig ik ff in de zon.

I feel so guilty about not posting any messages at the moment.
But so i do ever year...
I'm just not a summerscrapper!
In the summer there are so many wonderful things to do that scrapping just isn't a priority...
It isn't that i will never scrap again, it's just that the inspiration will be back at autumn.
So dear readers i'll be back...but for now i'm toasting in the sun.

Jim's flip top mini mini

Ik sinds aan tijdje groot fan van het werk van Jim Hankins aka The gentleman crafter.
Hij maakt zulke fantastische dingen en heeft ook een aantal tutorials geplaatst waarvan ik er nu ééntje echt moest maken!
Het was mijn broers verjaardag en ik wilde hem graag geld geven voor mijn ijshockeyoutfit.
Maar geld geven is eigenlijk zo saai dus moet je er echt wat omheen maken....nou dat is wel gelukt :)

Recently i've become a great fan of mister Jim Hankins aka The gentleman crafters work.
He makes the most beautiful things and he even makes some gorgeous tutorials, I just had to make one!
It was my brothers birthday and I wanted to give him money for his icehockeyoutfit.
But giving just money is to boring for me, so i had to make someting around it...and Jim came to my rescue :)

Zoals aan de zijkant van mijn blog te zien ben ik een P.I.T.A-babe! oftewel ik ben lid en fan van Paper phenomenon van de heerlijke Kathy Orta.
Ze maakt prachtige dingen, geeft gezellige Ustream-lessen en verkoopt de beste werkbeschrijvingen die er zijn.
Ik heb al een aantal van haar werkbeschrijvingen in mijn bezit en ben nu aan de gang gegaan met de Occasions folio.
Samen met het geweldige nieuwe papier van Echo park "This and That, graceful" heb ik het volgende album kunnen maken!

As can be seen on the right side of my blog...I'm a P.I.T.A.-babe! which means that i'm a member and fan of Paper Phenomenon, directed by the delightful Kathy Orta.
She makes the most beautiful projects, gives great ustream classes and sells the best tutorials around.
I've purchased quite a few of here tutorials and went on with the Occasions folio.
Together with the gorgeous paperline 'This and That, Graceful" I made the following album!

There are no pictures in it jet, but i have a couple of pictures from the kids of a friend which will be perfect for it!

Afgelopen weekend was ik weer van de partij tijdens een heerlijk scrapweekend met 19 vriendinnen van Het scrapbookforum.

Last weekend i was on a delightful scrapweekend with 19 girlfriends from Het scrapbookforum.



Wat heb ik een hoop gelachen, te weinig geslapen, genoten en gescrapt!
De volgende layout heb ik gemaakt voor de traditionele scraplift-wedstrijd.

I've laught so much, had to little sleep, enjoyed myself and scrapped ambitously.

Nee ik heb niet gewonnen maar ben zo buiten mijn eigen comfort zone gaan scrappen en zo blij met het resultaat dat dat ook als winnen voelt!

No i didn't win, but as i scrapped absolutely outside my comfort zone and am very happy with the result i feel like a winner never the less!

Na het maken van een aantal projecten en mini-albums had ik ook wel weer eens zin in het maken van een ouderwetse layout!
Deze is gemaakt met foto's van de twee jarige dochter van een goede vriendin.
Heerlijk op het strand op zoek naar schelpen.

After making a couple of projects and mini-albums i had a feeling for a oldfashion layout!
This one is made with pictures from the two year old daughter of a good friend.
She loved finding and collection shells.



De journaling:
Schelpen zoeken vind je helemaal geweldig
er zijn er ook zoveel.
Je wilt ze eigenlijk allemaal wel meenemen!
De tas is dan ook niet meer te tillen
aan het eind van de dag.

box with surprise mini-albums

En ja hoor ik heb weer een project bedacht en gemaakt!
Zit helemaal in de flow en vind het heerlijk om al die inches en cm te berekenen...en ja daar gaat het ook wel eens mee mis.
Dan snijd ik net een halve inch teveel weg of plak je iets op met superlijm terwijl het daar niet hoort te zitten...RUK zo die is er weer af.
Maar uiteindelijk ben ik dan heel trots en tevreden met wat ik gemaakt heb...en dit keer was het een doosje gevuld met vier mini-albumpjes!

And there i was again with a new project made and thought-out by myself!
I'm completly in the flow of creating and love measuring all those inches and centemeters....and yes i do make mistakes all the time.
I cut a inch to much or stick something with superglue on the wrong place....TARE, so that's off again.
But in the end i'm rather proud and happy with what i make...and this time it's a box filled with four little mini-albums!

Hoe rijk kun je je voelen met inkt!

Ik heb een aantal nieuwe kastjes gekocht voor mijn scrapplek en bij het opruimen van mijn prullen heb ik alles eens goed georganiseerd.
Wat kun je je rijk voelen met zoveel mooie dingen!
zoals mijn inktlaadje, vol met inkt van ranger...heerlijk!

I bought a couple of new cabinets for my scrapplace and started organizing all my things.
How rich can you feel with so much nice stuff!
like my ink-draw, filled with my ranger inks...you got to love it!

Winter wonder mini-album

Al heel lang had ik foto's liggen van een dagje sneeuwpret met mijn beste vriendinnetje.
Met de tutorial "honeycomb accordion bound album" van laura Denison.
haar tutorials zijn geweldig makkelijk maar geven een fantastisch resultaat.

Here tutorials are really simple but the end results are always magnificent!

Ik ben op het moment helemaal van de projectjes.
geinspireerd door mensen als Kathy Orta van "Paper phenomenon" heb ik besloten om zelf ook eens een projectje te bedenken en uit te werken.
en dit is het geworden en kastje met laadjes die allerlei extra vakken heeft.

I'm all into projects at the moment.
Inspired by people like Kathy Orta from "Paper phenomenon" i've decided to develop and make a little project of my own.
and this is what i came up with, a little chest of drawers with several flip-open compartments.

dit is het kastje gesloten (the chest closed):

dan kan de bovenkant open (the top compartment opened):

en hebben we vervolgens twee zijvakken die geopend kunnen worden (then there are to side compartments):

en dan kan je bij de twee laadjes (and finally there are the drawers):


om het geheel wat duidelijker te maken heb ik ook weer eens een filmpje gemaakt

Weekmenu

Voor in de keuken heb ik dit weekmenu bord gemaakt.
heel handig met al die kleine kaartjes zodat ik precies weet welke boodschappen in huis moeten komen en wat ik waarneer kook.

I made this weekmenu board for in the kitchen.
handy! so i can see what groseries i need to buy and i have a quick overview on what to cook.



De basis van dit bord is een IKEA fotolijst genaamd "SAXNÄS".
en de papierlijn die ik gebruikt heb is de "my mind's eye, Stella and Rose" lijn.

For the basis i used a IKEA pictureframe named "SAXNÄS".
And i used the "my minds eye, Stella and Rose" scrapbookpaper collection

Sterkte

Dit kaartje ( en bijpassende envelop) heb ik gemaakt voor één van mijn beste vriendinnen.
Haar broer is op 31 jarige leeftijd overleden en voor de uitvaart (waar ik natuurlijk heen ga) wilde ik haar nog sterkte wensen!

here brother (just 31 years young) past away and before the funeral (which i will attent) i wanted to wish here strenght!
